Adama leads Google’s NBU partnerships efforts in Africa and is in charge of driving the strategy, distribution and execution of all NBU programs through access, apps, payments solutions to connect the next millions of new users.
Before joining the NBU team, Adama was in charge of the implementation of Google’s Android strategy in Africa through partnerships with some of the world’s largest operators and device manufacturers doing business in Africa. Prior to Google, Adama was CMO at Next Generation Innovation, a startup specialised in delivering cloud based subscriber engagement, analytics and campaign management services to Telcos leading all the product portfolio and go to market strategy.
Adama held several OpCo and Group roles at Orange Group where she started her career in the Mobile industry first as a Head of Product Marketing in Guinea where she participated in the launch of the affiliate, then Marketing Manager on product partnerships for the 20+ Orange affiliates across Africa and Middle East based in Paris. Adama holds a Masters in Business Administration from ISG Institut Supérieur de Gestion Paris.
Adama is a critical deal maker and was a key contributor in signing some strategic deals in Africa among which the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Mobile content partnership, the Launch of Android One program across Africa, The global Orange and Google partnership on the entry level segment, Play Carrier billing in Africa
