Sjur Bjørndalsæter is a Project Manager and Internet executive with 20 years of experience in the IT sector. Besides participating in multiple startups, he started his career working several years first as Project Manager, then as Group Leader for Software and Hardware development and Innovation at The Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU). With a deep passion for delivering great user experiences in software development projects, he has spent the last decade focused on product and business development.
In 2012 he was part of the team that launched a Norwegian operator called Bayonette – a high-speed cloud and Internet service provider with door-to-door fiber optics enabling companies to access demanding virtual services at low latency without investing in their own infrastructure. A year later, Bayonette started to deploy Internet access to the residential space at exceptionally low prices, becoming the first gigabit-only provider in the Norwegian market.
Today, based on the experience working with businesses and residential customers, as part of the team in the new startup WIO he is committed on providing operators around the world with better solutions to delivery exceptionally good Wi-Fi for their customers.
