nCore Communications is a technology solution provider with headquarters in Southern California. By developing new SW solutions, nCore’s has opened new market opportunities for private and public operators and service providers in wide range of areas such as mobile and enterprise communications, as well as industrial IoT and cloud connectivity. nCore’s technology is leveraging well-established technologies such as LTE, Ethernet, WiFi, Satellite, mmWave Radio, in novel and exciting new ways to solve long-standing problems such as unified security, mobility and service guarantees for all access technologies.
Service providers can us nCore’s LTE-over-WiFi to offer mobile services that are compatible with cellular services. This solution enables WiFi operators to use LTE core (EPC) as the WiFi backend, making their network ideal for reverse-MVNO and WiFi-as-a-Service (WaaS), and voice and data offloading. The same technology can be used to offer enterprise unified communications (UCaaS), where LTE core, together with WiFi, will provide a mobile platform for enterprise applications. Since LTE core becomes the WiFi backend, WiFi network can enjoy the same mobility and QoS as an LTE network. LTE-over-WiFi is the enabling technology for a private LTE network in unlicensed band.
nCore has developed a gateway that provides LTE compatible security. Together with nCore’s SDK (or Applet), this gateway can be used for secure industrial IoT and cloud computing platforms, enabling IoT PaaS. The gateway will mask the device IP address (i.e. “Dark Internet”), hiding the IoT and cloud devices, hence making it impossible to hack the devices.
As LTE security is based on SIM cards in the device, and recognizing the fact that not all devices can support a SIM card, nCore has developed a SW implementation of the SIM-card known as SW-SIM. nCore gateway also includes OTA provisioning of the SW-SIM, such that an operator will not require manual SIM provisioning or installation on the device.
