HaLow (802.11ah): Opportunities & challenges ahead for the new Wi-Fi IoT standard

Wi-Fi HaLow – a new IoT standard for Wi-Fi operating in sub 1 GHz bands – was announced in 2016 by the Wi-Fi Alliance and has since lived in the shadow of Wi-Fi 6. But with Wi-Fi 6 now well on its way to broad market introduction, HaLow is attracting renewed interest and activities. Among the leaders is HaLow IP leader Methods2Business and Marleen Boonen. Marleen will take us through the details of the standard and all the opportunities & challenges.
