Allen Miu is the CTO and one of three co-Founders of Frontiir Co. Ltd. Allen has over 18 years of experience doing research and development in advanced WiFi systems. Prior to Frontiir, Allen was a Principal Engineer at Ruckus Wireless, Inc and contributed to its SmartMesh technology plus several innovations in the carrier WiFi space.
At Frontiir, Allen has had the privilege of working with a pool of young and dynamic talents in Myanmar to develop a new breed of low cost, carrier-grade WiFi system and value-add services for the mass consumer. Frontiir provides fixed+mobile broadband services under the consumer brand Myanmar Net, and offers unlimited internet connectivity for less than USD$0.13/day while maintaining high profitability and deep market penetration. Within 3 years, Myanmar Net has rapidly grown to become the largest ISP in Myanmar with over 25,000 APs deployed and over 650k customers subscribed. Frontiir is a proud recipient of an 2018 AESEAN BAC Award for Innovation Excellence.
Allen Miu holds a B.Sc. in EECS with Highest Honors distinction from University of California at Berkeley, and holds S.M. and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has published over 10 conference papers and articles and holds six US patents on wireless local area networks and mobile location systems.
