Chetan Hebbalae works on connectivity initiatives at Facebook. As the co-chair for the Wi-Fi project group in The Telecom Infra Project (TIP), Chetan and the teams are involved in multiple initiatives including the development of “Open Wi-Fi”, a standardized cloud driven open software platform, enabling Wi-Fi monetization and exploring interworking between Wi-Fi and 5G/4G.
With over two decades of experience in both hardware and software development, Chetan loves nurturing new product development and the challenges of building new lines of businesses. His experience spans delivering products to Carriers, Enterprises, Service providers and Governments. His prior background includes Motorola Inc., Ruckus Wireless, and Cambium Networks
Chetan has a BS from The University of Madras (India), an MS from Iowa State University (USA) and an MBA from The Kellogg school of Management (USA).
