Wi-Fi Now » Day 2 » Q&A panel: Opportunities & challenges in public Wi-Fi

Q&A panel: Opportunities & challenges in public Wi-Fi

Public, city, or municipal Wi-Fi: Whatever you call it, truth is that free Wi-Fi is experiencing a resurgence in popularity across America. And while free public Wi-Fi is popular with city governments and loved by citizens, creating a sustainable model for city Wi-Fi is still a challenge. So what experiences can we draw upon? What are the technical & business case challenges that need to be solved? Our expert panelists will answer these questions and more.

The panel is headed up by wireless industry veteran David Witkowski, who last year served as co-author of the definitive guide to building successful public Wi-Fi networks, aka the ‘GCTC Public Wi-Fi Supercluster Blueprint’ – see our interview with David here.  Joining David will be some of the lead co-editors and co-authors of this seminal document.

Great debates are the hallmarks of Wi-Fi NOW events. Above: Photo from Wi-Fi NOW USA in Washington, D.C. 2017.
