Benny Lee has over 30 years of experience in the technology field. This experience includes over 20 years in financial services sector where he implemented systems, applications and processes.
He is currently a Project Manager for the County of San Mateo implementing the Public Wi-Fi system, implementing the Shared Fiber Network, and collaborating at the national level with USIgnite GCTC with NIST on the Wireless and the Agricultural/Rural Superclusters. For his role on the GCTC Public Wi-Fi Supercluster Blueprint, he authored the section on Project Management and collaborated on Use Case Studies.
Benny is also an elected official serving for the last several years as a Councilmember for the City of San Leandro where he’s and advocate for digital inclusion and smart cities. He leverages his public role to demystify the complexities of technology systems towards positive quality of life outcomes.
