Christina Mason recently joined WISPA as Vice President of Government Relations. In this capacity, Christina leads the advocacy efforts of the association before Capitol Hill, and works to give voice on the Hill to WISPA’s 800 members regarding the policy challenges of delivering fixed wireless Internet services to nearly four million, mainly rural Americans.
Christina brings over a decade of experience in strategic communications, policy, and government relations and outreach. Before arriving at WISPA, she lobbied for The American Institute of Architects (AIA) where she directed the AIA’s executive and legislative advocacy agenda and represented the AIA in a variety of coalitions and related initiatives.
Prior to the AIA, Christina was in the office of Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-11), where she worked on appropriations, small business, and tax policy. Previously to that, Christina provided counsel for the Office of Chief Counsel at the IRS, and, similarly, for Anti-Piracy and Theatrical Distribution Litigation at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
She earned her BA degree in Communications and English from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, and later earned her JD degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC. Christina is a licensed attorney for the State of Maryland and is a member of the Washington Government Relations Group, National Bar Association, and the Tax Coalition.
