Wi-Fi in 6 GHz: Wi-Fi 6E and AFC (duration 1/2 day)
Standard power 6 GHz Wi-Fi operation in Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 requires AFC. To understand this in detail we offer this course delivered by our Chief Trainer, Dr Srikanth Subramanian.
Course Plan: Many new Wi-Fi standards are in the offing and are likely to influence the growth of Wi-Fi. The next generation of Wi-Fi standards will cater to even greater throughputs and satisfy new age requirements like latency and reliability for applications like virtual reality. One of the important enhancements to Wi-Fi 6 is the use of 6 GHz unlicensed spectrum. This can open up interesting possibilities for Wi-Fi 6 and future Wi-Fi standards. Outdoor and higher power usage is allowed in some countries by using a new approach called as automatic frequency coordination (AFC). We shall address the various technical details regarding AFC.
Pre-requisite: Wi-Fi technology basics, Wi-Fi 6 Masterclass
Attendee Profile: Engineers working in the Wi-Fi technology domain; R&D, testing, deployment, executives
