Bahador Amiri is a distinguished expert in the field of wireless communication and networking. With almost 20 years of experience in wireless industry, Bahador currently serves as Senior Director of Wireless Engineering at Cisco, where he leads worldwide team of 200+ engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and productizing Cisco’s cutting-edge Wi-Fi access points as well as full-stack solutions and cloud services, including IoT, AIOps, Security, Spectrum Monitoring, Location Services, and AFC.
Prior to his current role at Cisco, Bahador held various leadership positions in the industry including an engineering vice president role with Quantenna Communications overseeing hardware and software development and testing for Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) product lines.
Bahador holds a master’s degree in Wireless MIMO Communication from the University of California, where he continued his education toward Ph.D. degree in Wireless Networking. Bahador holds 20+ issued US patents in wireless domain.
