Dave Sumi is CEO at Airvine where he brings his considerable experience in wireless to the team. Prior to joining Airvine Dave was head of the Kyocera-AVX Antenna division, responsible for over 1000 people and $100M in revenue with design centers and factories around the globe. As VP of Marketing at Siklu from 2018 to 2021 he has been working to promote and drive the adoption of 5G mmWave technologies into the international wireless marketplace, while being responsible for all of the company’s marketing activities.
Before joining Siklu, he worked for Proxim Wireless, a company that supplies mission-critical wireless infrastructure with a focus on video surveillance, small cell backhaul, and Internet access point-to-point
and point-to-multipoint solutions. His initial role at Proxim was SVP of Engineering and Product Management, but he later became SVP Marketing and PLM.
Prior to that, Mr. Sumi spent six years as an independent consultant. During this time, he provided a range of companies in the communications industry with his strategic marketing, business development, and M&A skills. He has also worked for SOMA Networks, TeleCIS Wireless, Malibu Networks, Wireless
Inc and Nortel.
Dave holds a BS in Applied Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology
