Metin Taskin currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Airties, having previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer since founding the company in 2004. He works out of the company’s headquarters in Paris.
In his early career, Taskin worked as a research engineer at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), then continued his career in the United States. First at Hittite Microwave Corporation in Boston MA, designing radar and microwave communications systems and later at Cisco Systems at San Jose CA. Working initially on the development of fixed access wireless devices at the Wireless Access BU, Taskin later moved to the Wireless Networking BU of Cisco leading a team of engineers. He received the “Cisco Innovator” award for his success in the design and development of early wireless connectivity products.
Metin Taskin serves on the Board of Directors for the Wireless Broadband Alliance, where he was shortlisted for CTO of the year in 2022. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.
