Today NETGEAR for Business launched its bid for securing significant Wi-Fi 7 market share: The company’s new flagship tri-band WBE750 AP is compact, powerful, features award-winning industrial design, and fits neatly into NETGEAR for Business’ router, switch, and services portfolio. The new Wi-Fi 7 solution may be a real option for enterprises looking for both quality Wi-Fi kit and a more nimble Wi-Fi equipment partner.
Not getting enough support and attention from your current Wi-Fi vendor and reseller? NETGEAR for Business – NETGEAR’s B2B business unit – says it is a real alternative to the usual enterprise networking giants when it comes to cutting-edge Wi-Fi backed by excellent services. This week the company launched its flagship Wi-Fi 7 AP featuring plenty of connectivity power and an award-winning new design.
NETGEAR for Business says the WBE750 is ‘the most compact on the market’ – and designed to deliver a boost in productivity and operational efficiency to businesses everywhere. The new AP delivers 18.4 Gbps of Wi-Fi connectivity to a whopping maximum of 600 concurrent devices.
NETGEAR says the ability to support a large number of devices per AP is critical for the wireless enterprise because employees often bring three or more personal devices to work. Add to this an increasing number of smart building devices and connected office equipment. The end result could be a wireless traffic jam unless your network is prepared and ready to take on a large number of devices, NETGEAR says. Other important parts of the NETGEAR strategy is getting the AP’s appearance and RF performance right.
“We’ve toned down our logo to make the WBE750 less conspicuous – and we’re excited about the design, which we believe will blend into office environments elegantly. It also features our own in-house designed antennas optimised for concurrent operation of all three bands as well as a NETGEAR designed filter to isolate individual bands during MLO operation. This means reduced interference and better overall performance,” says John Henkel, Director of SMB Marketing at NETGEAR for Business.
NETGEAR is quick to point out that the new Wi-Fi 7 AP is part of a wider network solution that includes the PR60X router and the MS324TXUP Smart Switch – all of which (including any NETGEAR smart switch) can be managed from NETGEAR’s ‘Insight’ Cloud Portal and the ‘Insight’ app. But perhaps NETGEAR for Business’ biggest differentiator right now is its services: ‘Pro WiFi Design Services’ are free and include network design, troubleshooting, site surveys with help from NETGEAR engineers, training, and more. We wrote about it here.
“NETGEAR has always been known for excellent Wi-Fi performance and build quality – and now our Pro WiFi services are making sure that this translates into excellent deployment quality for enterprises, too. We believe that our network solutions coupled with our strong and dedicated professional staff makes NETGEAR Business a real alternative for businesses looking for a more committed and responsive Wi-Fi network vendor partner,” says John Henkel.
The NETGEAR WBE750 is available in the US now on NETGEAR.com for US$699.99 and includes a 1-year subscription of NETGEAR Insight Cloud Management with purchase.
