What new opportunities exist for carriers and enterprises to create cutting-edge and profitable WiFi services in the age of WiFi 6 and 6E? We’re delighted to announce that we’re now partnering with a company with the answers: ANTlabs. The Singapore-based connectivity solution provider is one of the world’s leading innovators in managed service platforms for hotels, large venues, and carriers.
The WiFi world is racing ahead with loads of new radio technology and plenty of new unlicensed spectrum to boot. This means that enterprise and carriers all over the world have unprecedented new opportunities to create revenue-generating services. And to do that, service innovation and ultra-flexible and customisable service platforms are needed. Hence we are delighted to announce that as of this month, our new service innovation partner is ANTlabs.
ANTlabs has been a market leader in network edge gateways, WiFi Cloud service platforms and Carrier core networking solutions for more than 20 years. They have enabled partners and customers alike to create best-fit charging models as they roll out in-venue services.
A recent win includes the WiFi gateway solution for one of the world’s largest congress centres: The Amsterdam RAI, where ANTlabs SG 4 is deployed to handle mega-events that are easily managed by a single IT staff. The ANTlabs SG 4 is a guest WiFi gateway created explicitly for large venues like stadiums, convention centres, airports, and transportation hubs.
“ANTlabs fundamental value proposition over the years revolve around how our networking products and solutions improve operational efficiency while giving guests good connectivity—intelligent, dynamic bandwidth management, and flexible time and volume accounting, all in one box. From smaller properties to large hotel chains, airports, and convention centres like Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center, ANTlabs has provided products and solutions for seamless connectivity through the years,” says Kwang Tat Ang, VP Customer Solutions at ANTlabs.
The company is now offering managed service providers a platform—Antlabs Service Platform (ASP)—to help them deploy multiple hotspots securely and easily. Deploying and managing these hotspots is just a matter of clicks from a single dashboard, Kwang Tat Ang says.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s most successful and experienced WiFi service platform vendors now that we’re entering a new era in WiFi connectivity. The paradigm shift includes WiFi 6, and lots of new spectrum for WiFi 6E will require innovative services and service delivery. And we know ANTlabs does exactly that,” says Claus Hetting, WiFi NOW CEO Chairman.
“The last word in how to define and create revenue-generating WiFi services has not been written – in fact, we’re entering an era where innovation in WiFi services is key to deliver on the promise of WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E. In recognition of WiFi’s evolving landscape, we created the ANTlabs Service Platform (ASP) for service providers and operators. And with this announcement, we’re glad to say that ANTlabs will be leading the charge with WiFi NOW as our media and promotional partner,” says Kwang Tat Ang.
