Florida-based Wi-Fi analytics and marketing experts GoZone WiFi yesterday launched a ‘Touchless Menu’ solution allowing restaurants to re-open their businesses more safely. The solution is a simple way for restaurants to replace physical menus with digital menu listings delivered directly to their patrons’ phones. GoZone WiFi says several major global hotel brands have already placed orders for the new product. GoZone WiFi is a Wi-Fi NOW Partner.
As perhaps millions of public-facing businesses across the world prepare to reopen following the covid19 pandemic lockdown, many still worry about the risk of infection. To help restaurants curtail risk, Florida-based Wi-Fi analytics and marketing experts GoZone WiFi have launched a Wi-Fi product that replaces physical restaurant menus – which potentially carry with them the risk of infection – with digital menu listings delivered directly to their guest’s phones.

The ‘Touchless Menu’ solution consists of an enterprise-grade Wi-Fi router and access to GoZone WiFi’s Cloud-based online service, where restaurant staff can easily create their own digital menus based on templates and drag-and-drop editing. Guests access the digital menu simply by connecting to the restaurant’s special Wi-Fi network with their phones, tablets, or laptop computers.
“Our team developed Touchless Menu after hearing from restaurant owners and operators across the country who are struggling to navigate a safe reopening,” says Todd Myers, GoZone WiFi CEO. “The Touchless Menu gives restaurants an opportunity to reassure patrons that they’re taking actions to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”
GoZone WiFi also says ‘Touchless Menu’ is safer and less cumbersome compared to sanitising physical menus and likely less costly than printing and throwing out paper menus every day.
‘Touchless Menu’ is also a great opportunity for restaurants to experience what venue Wi-Fi can do for them because it solves a very specific need, says Todd Myers. “We believe that guest Wi-Fi in the form of our analytics and marketing platform delivers outstanding value to public-facing businesses, and this simple use case is a chance for our customers to experience tangible, immediate benefits. We think Touchless Menu could well be a first step for many such businesses to embrace Wi-Fi-based analytics and marketing more widely,” Todd Myers says.
Todd Myers says several major global hotel brands have already ordered the ‘Touchless Menu’ system.
‘Touchless Menu’ is hardware agnostic so that restaurants can configure the service on existing Wi-Fi access points if they wish to do so. The new product – for which GoZone WiFi charges a mere US$149 per year – is a subset of GoZone WiFi’s wider analytics and marketing platform and can be simply upgraded to support all GoZone’s advanced features, GoZone WiFi says.
