Arguably one of the best things that have happened to enterprise Wi-Fi planning in recent years is the founding of the company Hamina Wireless, Finland-based creator of innovative and – many would say – disruptive planning tools. Now thousands of users of NetAlly’s AirCheck® handheld testers can look forward to uploading and analysing their network validation data on the Hamina platform.
NetAlly’s AirCheck testers have become the de-facto industry standard for fast and convenient on-site Wi-Fi trouble shooting and data collection (using the AirMapper site survey app) with thousands of AirChecks being used every day by Wi-Fi professionals. Now both network admins and Wi-Fi planning experts can look forward to a new dimension in validation: Importing AirMapper survey data to Hamina’s browser-based wireless planning and troubleshooting platform.

“We believe in integrations with leading networking vendors – in this case meaning incorporating measurement data from for example AirCheck. More and easier ways to collect site survey data and analyse it leads to better, faster, more convenient Wi-Fi validation and troubleshooting. Through the NetAlly API we can now with one or two clicks import AirMapper survey data from the Cloud to Hamina Wireless Planner Plus. We think this adds big value to users of both Hamina and NetAlly,” says Jussi Kiviniemi, CEO & founder of Hamina Wireless.
He also says that the popular AirCheck testers are excellent for quick and detailed Wi-Fi validation and troubleshooting, short of large stadium deployments. “We basically tap into the NetAlly Link Live Cloud where the AirMapper site survey data is stored, and we can then use this to populate rich heatmaps, locate the access points, and so on. We also support importing data from leading Wi-Fi management Clouds, such as Cisco Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, Juniper-Mist, and others,” he says.
AirCheck Wi-Fi testers are popular because of their convenience, speed, and as collaborative tools where remote experts can guide and even remotely control on-site AirCheck units after which data can be uploaded to the Cloud. “We’re excited about our partnership with Hamina because it gives our uses a new dimension in network validation using Hamina’s detailed analytical tools. It’s really a win- win,” says Daniel Klimke, Director of Marketing at NetAlly.
The Hamina platform supports data import from all current NetAlly Wi-Fi testers including AirCheck G2, G3, EtherScope®, CyberScope®, and CyberScope Air.
