Aprecomm is once again forging key strategic partnerships as a means to rapidly expand its business across the globe: This week the company announced that major home broadband CPE provider Hitron is integrating Aprecomm’s AI-based QoE platform into its CPEs while enterprise Wi-Fi vendor Edgecore is bundling twelve months of access to Aprecomm’s Wi-Fi optimisation software into its Wi-Fi 6 offerings.
Newcomer Aprecomm is once again attacking – some would say disrupting – the market for AI-powered Wi-Fi QoE optimisation at breakneck speed. This time the company is teaming up with major solution providers in the home broadband and enterprise segments, respectively. The company announced two important new strategic partnerships this week.
Hitron Technologies Americas – a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Hitron – will be integrating Aprecomm’s AI-powered customer experience management platform into its family of CPEs. This means Hitron service provider clients in the Americas will benefit from Aprecomm’s QoE optimisation and operational efficiency platform immediately. Hitron lists US cable giants Charter and Comcast among its clients and ranks as one of the world’s largest providers of Wi-Fi-capable DOCSIS gateways, optical routers, and mesh. It seems Aprecomm has a knack for landing the right partners.

“Our partnership with Hitron is not only an excellent fit technically, we also share the same goal: Driving down service provider OPEX by delivering better, more reliable connectivity. This of course also leads to a much improved overall experience for home broadband customers. Our studies show that this can lead to as much as a 60% reduction in truck rolls, a 35% improvement in first-call resolutions, and a 30% drop in call resolution time,” says Robert Lamb, SVP of Strategy and Partnerships at Aprecomm.
Aprecomm’s patented QoE algorithm includes functionality for automated Wi-Fi self-healing while Aprecomm Cloud applications feature actionable analytics, one-click root cause analysis, and more. The combined Hitron-Aprecomm platform incorporates the TR-369 (User Services Platform or USP) industry standard protocol developed by Broadband Forum for remote CPE management, Aprecomm says.
Meanwhile Taiwan-based Edgecore Networks announced this week that all customers operating Edgecore Wi-Fi 6 access points will be able to access Aprecomm’s ‘Virtual Wireless Expert’ (VWE) optimisation software for free for 12 months starting March 1. The VWE software suite adds important self-healing and self-optimisation capabilities to Edgecore’s Wi-Fi 6 networks. In many ways VWE incorporates a set of features similar to Aprecomm’s home broadband QoE solution but in this case features and functionality are optimised for enterprise use.
“VWE allows IT staff to monitor and manage the connectivity experience down to the application level. It also for example includes intelligent bandwidth prioritisation for delivering the best possible Wi-Fi performance. Ultimately, this platform is all about creating a great QoE for enterprise Wi-Fi users while driving up operational efficiency for IT departments,” Robert Lamb says. Tools to automate customer support workflows are also included. Edgecore Networks and Aprecomm have collaborated on bringing innovations in AIOps to enterprise Wi-Fi markets since 2022, Aprecomm says.
Don’t miss meeting Robert Lamb and Aprecomm in person at Wi-Fi World Congress USA on April 28-30 to be held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, on April 28-30.
