The case for carrier Wi-Fi is growing stronger by the day as a result of expansive new technologies such as Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E. Now we’re taking the next bold step together with ‘an old friend’: We are delighted to announce that we’re partnering with Wi-Fi service management world leaders Aptilo Networks to promote and expand the market for scalable, effective carrier Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi-based IoT services.
Ad-hoc Wi-Fi may be pretty much everywhere but making high-quality, carrier-grade Wi-Fi work consistently as mass market service is something else – and that’s precisely the skillset of Aptilo Networks, the world leader in service provider Wi-Fi. We’re delighted to announce that for the rest of this year and into 2021 we will be working closely with Aptilo to expand the carrier Wi-Fi market.
Working together for carrier Wi-Fi growth
“Our mission is to make operator’s – or service provider – Wi-Fi services work effectively and profitably for real life deployments. More than one hundred service providers have already used Aptilo platforms and services to create and deliver the right Wi-Fi services. Now we’re excited sharing our experience and innovations around carrier Wi-Fi in partnership with Wi-Fi Now,” says Johan Terve, VP Marketing at Aptilo Networks.
“A strong resurgence of carrier Wi-Fi is inevitable with the advent of Wi-Fi 6 – and especially now that lots of new spectrum is being made available to Wi-Fi the world over. We believe Aptilo is poised for further market expansion and we’re of course delighted to offer our strong support,” says Claus Hetting, Wi-Fi NOW CEO & Chairman.

New Wi-Fi IoT & ‘virtual service provider’ solutions
Aptilo is known for expanding what’s possible in carrier Wi-Fi as well as for Wi-Fi-based IoT. Aptilo’s Zero-touch Wi-Fi IoT Connectivity™ onboarding solution delivered in partnership with AWS has already received several accolades including a Wi-Fi NOW Award. The solution works without any client software. It uses existing certificate-based automatic onboarding of Wi-Fi-connected IoT devices in the home or enterprise.
Aptilo also excels in providing the right tools for Wi-Fi monetization. For example: Aptilo’s Virtual Service Provider platform allows telcos to turn their business clients such as apartment (MDU) owners and co-working office spaces into virtual service providers, Aptilo says. The platform is business critical for telcos to increase revenues and capitalise on a new surge in Wi-Fi industry growth.
In the coming months Aptilo Networks and Wi-Fi NOW will be disseminating business-critical information on the evolution of carrier Wi-Fi. Also make sure you don’t miss Aptilo Networks speaking at the Virtual Wi-Fi World Congress on October 6.
