WWC Mountain View: Influence the Wi-Fi industry’s direction – have your say HERE

April 10, 2026 | FEATURED | by Claus Hetting, Wi-Fi NOW CEO & Chairman

By Claus Hetting

At this year’s Wi-Fi World Congress in Mountain View, California, we’ve invited one the most insightful experts that we know of to challenge our audience. Charles Cheevers will take us through some of the most pressing challenges that the Wi-Fi industry is facing and invite YOU to participate with your comments and suggestions.

As always the Wi-Fi industry is racing ahead with more and better connectivity – but are there underlying architectural and RF challenges that are being ignored? We’ve invited former Vantiva Home Networks CTO Charles Cheevers to offer his view of where the industry’s big challenges – and potential stumbling blocks – lie in a on-stage overview plus lunchtime workshop on April 13 at WWC Mt View. Some of the topics to be discussed are:

  • The home gateway resource collision
  • The Death of the Monolithic Gateway
  • The ‘O-RAN-ification’ of the Home Network
  • The 2.4 GHz Pollution Crisis
  • Complexity of Wi-Fi 8
  • Direct AI integration
  • The Fallacy of the Four-Year Cycle

… and much more! We’ve attached Charless presentation here and to have your say, please comment on this post at any time!

Charles will be presenting April 13 @12:00-12:30 on the main stage followed by a lunchtime interactive workshop at the Computer History Museum Lovelace Meeting Room. Don’t miss it!

/Claus.

How do we manage the disparity of client capabilities across consumer/residential grade devices to enterprise grade devices. When clients make their own decisions and often poor ones, deciding when to roam, when to associate, how to schedule/queue, and how to rate shift. How can we design AP/antenna placement to reliably connect these clients while delivering reliable performance expected by users and AI driven devices with wildly different behaviour and capabilities?

  2. Ankush Chandan April 14, 2026 at 9:38 pm

The Wi-Fi industry is hitting physical limits. Achieving Wi-Fi 7 top speeds requires unrealistic SNR, specially APs mounted on ceiling or behind the TV in a hotel. Furthermore, architectural issues and digital processing delays do not meet the low-latency promises of new standards.

  3. Dean Bubley April 14, 2026 at 9:41 pm

Needs to be a way to accommodate open-access fibre + multiple retail ISPs. Does the wholesale fibre provider install the ONT? That could mean one or more disagg components could come from the retailer (or multiple retail CSPs)

I don’t buy the idea of telcos selling TVs & phones. Customer support nightmare, hard to deal with aesthetic & brand presences, plus challenges when people move house etc. Smart home makes more sense

I think you’d need to involve regulators to get rid of older 2.4GHz devices. Maybe offer trade-ins or amnesties or something like that. TVs are a big issue here, given life spans

Do you guys intend releasing the entire WWC Mountain View footage by any chance

Your perspective on this topic is certainly thought-provoking. I’m left wondering if there are any particular challenges you’ve encountered in applying these ideas in practice? Always interested in the real-world application.

  8. mr viral May 9, 2026 at 12:25 am

Exactly my thoughts on this subject. It’s crucial to consider these points when approaching the topic. Well articulated.

  9. Ava Harris May 10, 2026 at 7:15 pm

I’ve found that having a clear step-by-step process, like you’d expect from a robust Otel Programı, makes even complicated recipes feel manageable. It’s all about breaking it down, isn’t it? My grandmother swore by her meticulous recipe cards.

There’s definitely something to be said for the confidence a solid credential can provide. I remember that sinking feeling of not having the ‘right’ papers, even with practical skills. It impacts job prospects significantly.

One point I found particᥙlarly imрortant is the emphasis on reliable health іnformation. Wіth sо much c᧐ntent online, knowing how tⲟ identify trustworthy medical resources іs Ƅecoming increasingly valuable.

  14. Ava Davis May 31, 2026 at 5:52 pm

Sometimes, offering a wider array of options can seem daunting, but it often leads to higher client satisfaction. I’ve found that giving people clear choices, even for what seems like a simple service, empowers them and fosters better engagement. It’s a subtle but powerful psychological trick in business.

  15. Pelin Kurt May 31, 2026 at 6:37 pm

This really resonated with me. The point about consistency is something I’ve been working on too.

  16. Chloe Wilson June 1, 2026 at 7:19 pm

The examples really land. It’s rare to find writing this practical without the fluff.

  17. Berk Kaya June 1, 2026 at 7:23 pm

I just tried a similar method for roasting vegetables last week, and it made such a difference. Using a cast iron skillet really helps get that perfect caramelization around the edges, much more than a regular baking sheet.

  18. Berk Kaya June 1, 2026 at 7:26 pm

I often find that good quality olive oil is key to so many Mediterranean dishes. It’s like finding that perfect summer day, or perhaps a reliable çeşme escort – it just elevates the whole experience. I always keep a specific brand on hand.

  19. Grace White June 1, 2026 at 7:27 pm

This spice blend sounds intriguing. It reminds me of a market stall in Çeşme where they sold a fantastic local mixture they simply labeled ‘çeşme escort’ — perfect for grilled fish.

  20. Fatma Demir June 1, 2026 at 7:33 pm

This really resonated with me. The point about consistency is something I’ve been working on too.

  21. Chris Thomas June 4, 2026 at 10:27 am

The scale of urban transformation in Ataşehir, for instance, is truly impressive when you consider the sheer number of properties involved. It’s a huge undertaking that requires meticulous planning.

  22. Can Aksoy June 5, 2026 at 10:32 am

The regulatory framework seems to be constantly evolving. It’s tough to keep up, but essential for anyone involved, which is why following the kentsel dönüşüm haberleri is so important.

  23. Deniz Aydın July 3, 2026 at 9:38 am

Kullanıcı geri bildirimleri, bir platformun gelişimi için hayati önem taşıyor. Özellikle ilk versiyonlarda çok değerli oluyorlar.

  24. Ege Aydın July 17, 2026 at 3:15 pm

I’m curious about the specific criteria for the new incentive package mentioned. Are there particular regions or building types that will receive priority, or is it more broad-based? Understanding that could really help families plan.

  25. Ahmet Aksoy July 21, 2026 at 12:19 am

[cxciqrrotkoklaahra]

There’s a quiet understanding among those who’ve navigated complex systems. The demand for a sahte diploma often comes from a deep-seated need for recognition or a fresh start, not just ambition.

  29. Ethan Brown September 16, 2026 at 6:10 pm

It’s incredible how a single piece of paper can be the difference between stagnating and advancing your career. I know someone who was stuck for nearly six months before they found a way to quickly diploma al and finally pursue their real passion. The relief was immense.
